Baked Lamb Kofta

Baked Lamb Kofta

Serve: 6-7 Koftas


Time Preparing: 10-15 minutes

Time Roasting: 60 minutes

Total Time: 70-75 minutes



1-pound grass-fed lamb ground meat 

6-7 skewer

4 tablespoons organic red onions, finely chopped 

5-6 tablespoons organic fresh mint, finely chopped

4 tablespoons organic fresh cilantro, finely chopped 

½ tablespoon cayenne pepper, finely chopped

½ tablespoon sea salt




Step 1

Place a piece of parchment paper (for easy clean up) at the bottom of a large roast pan, and place the roast pan rack over it, reserve


Step 2

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.


Step 3 

In a medium bowl combine red onions, mint, cilantro, cayenne pepper and sea salt, stir until well combined 

Add the lamb ground meat

Using your hands, combine all the ingredients until well blended

Divide the meat into 6-7 portions 

Shape into sausages shapes

Run a skewer all through each “sausage”

Place koftas 1-inch apart over the rack of the large roasting pan

Bake for 60 minutes or until the center is done

Carefully remove from oven

Serve with your favorites side dishes 

Leftovers are delicious for 2-3 days in the refrigerator
