A Super-Nutritious Way to Sooth Inflammation and Gastrointestinal Problems

Fresh Ginger Root and Aloe Vera Tonic

1 liter

 

Time Preparing: 10 minutes

 

Ingredients

- 1-2 inches organic fresh ginger root 

- 1-2 inches slice freshly cut aloe vera leaf

- 4 cups filtered water

- 4 teaspoons raw and organic honey

 

Preparation

In a blender pour the filtered water, ginger root and the aloe vera gel

Pulse until smooth

Strain and store in a closed mason jar 

Keep refrigerated (2-3 days)

To serve, add a teaspoon of raw honey

 

How to Prepare Aloe Vera leaf for use

Wash well the leaf and cut into 2 inches slices

Carefully remove the latex (yellow juice) that is right below the outer skin, and emerges when cutting the aloe vera leaf (this is a natural chemical called aloin that may provoke cramping and diarrhea)

Using a spoon, scoop out the inner aloe vera gel 

Use this gel into your smoothies, salads, etc

Keep the remaining sliced aloe vera leaf in a closed mason jar to be used as needed
